Campaigns
Blueticks Campaigns allow you to send personalized messages to multiple recipients efficiently. This feature is perfect for marketing announcements, event updates, or any communication that needs to reach many contacts at once.
Creating a Campaign
Blueticks provides a step-by-step wizard to help you create effective campaigns. The process consists of four main steps:
- Select target audience - Choose who will receive your messages
- Write your message - Craft your personalized content
- Set the launch time - Schedule when to send the campaign
- Launch campaign - Review and send your messages
Let's explore each step in detail:
Step 1: Select Target Audience
The first step is defining who will receive your campaign messages:
This screen allows you to:
- Search for existing audiences
- Create a new audience
- Select multiple audiences for your campaign
If you don't have any audiences yet, or want to create a new one, click the "New Audience" button.
Creating a New Audience
When you click "New Audience", you'll see the audience creation modal:
Here you can:
- Name your audience (a default name with the current date is provided)
- Select your import method:
- CSV, XLSX, XLS - Upload contacts from a spreadsheet file
- Google Sheets - Import directly from Google Sheets
- WhatsApp Contacts - Use your existing WhatsApp contacts
Your spreadsheet should include at minimum a column for phone numbers, and can include additional columns for personalization (like name, company, etc.).
Audience Selected
After creating or selecting an audience, you'll see it listed in your campaign:
The screen shows:
- Number of audiences selected
- Name of each audience
- Contact count in each audience
- Options menu for audience management
When you're satisfied with your audience selection, click "Next" to proceed.
Step 2: Write Your Message
Next, you'll craft the message that will be sent to your audience:
The message editor includes:
- Formatting options (bold, italic, strikethrough)
- Emoji selector
- File attachment option
- Templates button for saved message templates
- Personalization variables
Personalization Variables
Blueticks allows you to personalize your messages using variables from your contact data:
{First Name}
- Inserts the recipient's first name{Last Name}
- Inserts the recipient's last name{WhatsApp name}
- Uses the recipient's WhatsApp display name
In the example above, the message uses {First Name}
to create a personalized greeting. Any column in your imported spreadsheet can be used as a personalization variable.
Additional Options
Below the message editor, you can toggle:
- Link Preview - Enable or disable link previews for URLs in your message
- Schedule poll - Include a WhatsApp poll in your campaign
When your message is ready, click "Next" to continue.
Step 3: Schedule Your Campaign
Now you'll decide when to send your campaign:
You have two options:
- Now - Send the campaign immediately
- Scheduled - Select a specific date and time for the campaign to be sent
For scheduled campaigns, you can:
- Select the date using the calendar picker
- Set the time using the time selector
After setting your desired launch time, click "Next" to proceed to the final step.
Step 4: Launch Your Campaign
The final step is to review your campaign before launching:
This screen shows a summary of:
- Your target audience
- The complete message with personalization
- The scheduled send time
You can make last-minute edits by clicking the pencil icons next to each section.
When you're ready to send your campaign, click the "Launch Campaign" button.
Campaign Management
After creating campaigns, you can manage them through the Campaign Manager. Access it by clicking the campaign icon in the Blueticks toolbar.
In the Campaign Manager, you can:
- View the status of all your campaigns
- Track delivery and read rates
- Pause ongoing campaigns
- Duplicate successful campaigns
- Archive completed campaigns
Best Practices
For effective campaigns, follow these best practices:
- Personalize your messages - Use personalization variables to make messages feel individual
- Keep messages concise - Short, clear messages have better engagement rates
- Test before sending - Send a test message to yourself to verify personalization and formatting
- Respect time zones - Schedule campaigns during appropriate hours for your audience
- Segment your audiences - Create targeted audiences for more relevant messaging
- Follow up strategically - Plan follow-up campaigns based on recipient engagement
- Comply with regulations - Ensure you have permission to contact all recipients
Limitations
- WhatsApp has daily limits on new conversations started
- Large campaigns are sent in batches to avoid triggering spam protection
- Your device must be connected to the internet during campaign delivery
By default, WhatsApp Web must be open in your browser for campaign messages to be sent. However, you can use BlueTicks' Offline Scheduling feature to send your campaigns even when your browser is closed or computer is shut down.
