Offline Scheduling

Offline Scheduling

One of BlueTicks' most powerful features is the ability to send scheduled messages even when your computer is turned off or your browser is closed.

How It Works

BlueTicks offers a premium feature called "Send Messages Offline" that allows your scheduled messages to be delivered even when:

  • Your computer is shut down
  • Your browser is closed
  • WhatsApp Web is not active

This is accomplished through BlueTicks' secure Offline Server technology which maintains the connection to WhatsApp after you've authorized it.

Setting Up Offline Scheduling

Step 1: Check Your Connection Status

First, check your current connection status. You can see this status in two main places:

On the BlueTicks Website:

Look at the WhatsApp Devices panel, often visible on pages like the Calendar (opens in a new tab).

Via the BlueTicks Chrome Extension:

Click the extension icon while on WhatsApp Web.

If you see messages like "Keep WhatsApp Web open..." or a prominent "Connect Offline Server" button, it means you are currently using the standard connection and can upgrade to Offline Scheduling.

Step 2: Initiate Offline Server Connection

Choose one of the following methods to start the connection process:

Option A: From the BlueTicks Website

  1. Navigate to a page showing the WhatsApp connection status (like the Calendar (opens in a new tab)).
  2. In the "Send Messages Offline" section (shown in the website image in Step 1), click the "Connect Offline Server" button.
  3. A modal window will appear to generate the QR code.

Option B: From the Chrome Extension

  1. Open WhatsApp Web in your browser.
  2. Click the BlueTicks Chrome Extension icon.
  3. Click the "Connect Offline Server" button or follow the prompts within the extension panel (similar to the state shown in the extension image in Step 1).
  4. The extension will guide you to generate the QR code, often opening a modal window.

Step 3: Scan the QR Code

Once the QR code modal appears (generated via either the website or the extension):

QR Code for Offline Access

  1. Open WhatsApp on your mobile phone.
  2. Go to Settings > Linked Devices.
  3. Tap Link a Device.
  4. Scan the QR code displayed in the modal on your computer screen.
  5. Wait for the connection to be established.

Step 4: Confirmation

After successful connection, you'll see the status change to "Messages sent even when browser is closed" with a green checkmark. This confirms that your scheduled messages will now be delivered regardless of your browser or computer status.

Benefits of Offline Scheduling

  • Freedom from keeping computer on: Schedule messages without worrying about leaving your computer running
  • More reliable delivery: Messages will be sent even if your internet connection drops or computer crashes
  • Battery savings: No need to keep your laptop running just to send scheduled messages
  • Peace of mind: Set it and forget it - your messages will be delivered on time

Important Notes

  • Offline scheduling is a premium feature that may require a subscription
  • The connection to the Offline Server is secure and encrypted
  • Your message content is only processed at the time of scheduled delivery
  • The connection may need to be renewed periodically for security purposes
  • To disconnect from the Offline Server, visit the connection settings and click "Disconnect"

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues connecting to the Offline Server:

  • Ensure your mobile WhatsApp is up to date
  • Check your internet connection on both devices
  • Try refreshing the QR code if it expires
  • Make sure you're following the correct scanning procedure on your phone

Offline scheduling works with most BlueTicks features, including:
